| Basic signal processing principles: frequency, periyor, wavelength, wavenumber, velocity parameters, time and spave sampling rules, spectral content, problems and solution. Seismic Data Groups, Recording Format: Land and marine seismic data, SEGD, SEG2 and SEGY data structure, demultiplexing and data imaging. Seismic Data Quality Control: trace editing, amplitude correction or compensetation, spectral content control. Stacking Data: Sorting, CMP (or CDP) groups, NMO correction and stack. Seismic Noises and Filters: signal and noise, coherent and incoherent noises and their characteristics, types of filters and features. Seismic Dekonvolution: Meaning of dekonvolution, types of Wiener deconvolution (spiking, predictive and wavelet shaping). Velocity Analysis: constant velocity panels, constant velocity stack, velocity spectra (or semplance). Statical Correction: Eleviation and Weatheringt (Low Velocity Layer) correction, up-hole shooting, refraction statics. Data Enhancement: Spectral extrapolation, iterative deconvolution. Seismic Migration: Seismic migration basis and rules, Post-stack Stolt migration (f-k). Seismic Modeling, Image Techniques: Importance of reflection coefficients, seismic wavelet and types, convolutional modeling, prestack and post stack modeling, wiggle, wiggle+are, colored+area imaging. PROMAX software and Matlab based seismic data processing applications in SeisLab. |
