The aim of the course:
To be able to distinguish texts from non-texts, to be able to evaluate texts with text linguistics language analysis methods.

Contents of the Course
Definition of linguistics, areas, the relationship with the lateral fields and other disciplines. Metin kavramının tanımı, metin ile dil biliminin ilişkisi ve metin dil biliminin çalışma alanları. Methods of text linguistics. Textuality criteria. Comprehension of text which is the basic unit of communication, the explanation of the notions and discourse. Context - Text and Discourse. Referential coherence structures. Elements of cohesion. Consistency in texts. Text analysis.
