The aim of the course:
The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to reveal the syntactic, semantic and socio-cultural structure of written texts through discourse analysis methods.

Contents of the Course
Concepts of context, cohesion and consistency and methods of discourse analysis; Discussing the concepts of culture, ideology and identity that are effective in the construction of language and revealing the social dimensions and sub-meanings of texts; Determination of genre-specific features by examining the linguistic structure of discourse.
