The aim of the course is to provide the student with general knowledge on public administration problems end their solutions

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : List the basic problems of the discipline of public administration1,41,
PO - 2 : Relate a specific managerial problem to public management units.1,41,
PO - 3 : analyze the basic problems of the discipline of public administration in Turkey and to develop solutions for overcome these problems 1,41,

Definition and characteristics of public administration as a discipline, development of the discipline of public administration, identity crisis in public administration discipline, problems of public administration education, structural and operational problems of bureaucracy, centralization problem, ethical issues in public administration, wicked problems in public administration and policy (poverty, migration, climate change, disasters), solutions to current problems
