to discuss the relationship between communicative interactions and Critical Discourse Analysis
to conceptualize the relationship between language form and function in literary and non-literary texts
To help students familiarize with the research that has been done both on written and spoken language over the years and the analytic approaches that have been used to analyze these discourses

This course deals with critical re-assessments of the language and methods of production used in various literary, dramatic and media texts. It includes practical analyses of major issues in discourse analysis with a focus on different models of analysis outlined and evaluated in terms of their usefulness to language and literary studies. |
