The aim of the course:
The main objective of this course is to give knowledge about bio-based materials and production of bioenergy and other by-products from bio-based materials

Contents of the Course
Classifications of biomass and bioenergy. Biomass structure and properties. Pyrolysis methods of biomass. Pyrolysis temperatures. Gasification of biomass. Liquifaction of biomass. Carbonization of biomass. Chemical properties of products from biomass. Applicability of biomass products for wood protection. Performance of treated wood with bio-oils against fungi and insect degradation
