Students will utilise their knowledge from mechanics, strength of materials and structural analysis to design a structure using timber as a material. |

Introduction, general knowledge about timber material, mechanical properties of timbers, design principles of timber structures according to TS647 and Eurocode-5, loads, wind loads, snow loads, types and calculation principles of connections in timber structures, tension and compression members, beams, numerical examples, drawings. |
