The aim of the course:
This course aims at helping students develop their knowledge and skills in foreign policy analysis in order to: 1) explain the behavior of states and critically evaluate complex foreign policy decisions; 2) identify multiple factors that influence the making of foreign policy and diplomacy; and 3) discuss contemporary foreign policy issues from both mainstream and critical perspectives.

Contents of the Course
The first part of the course will introduce the key actors, structures and processes of foreign policy. It will also discuss the main theories of decision-making and international politics. The second part of the course will deal with diplomacy, including public diplomacy, in terms of how it emerged and evolved.
