The aim of the course:
To provide the students with an insight in evolution of geodesy in the world.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

LO - 2 : Learn about the developments on some basic sciences such as Mathematics, Astronomy and Geography21

Contents of the Course
Initial civilizations in history and geodesy; Initial opinions about shaping and magnitude of the world; Developments in mapping and cartography; Geodetic measurements during history; Advances in mathematics; Advances in astronomy; Historical developing of calendar; Advances in the field of surveying instruments and its production; Advances in Photogrammetry and Cadastre; Developments in geography; Measure units; Developments in hydrographical measurements. Advances in the field of development and construction of public facilities.
