The aim of the course:
Giving theoric information about important events, people and states about Rome and Byzantine History, Giving information about social, cultural, military and political events of Rome and Byzantine History.

Contents of the Course
Division of the Roman Empire in two parts, Völkerwanderung and the period of the German Invasions, foundation of Byzantine Empire affectionately known as Eastern Rome and political, military, social and economical developments of Byzantine Empire in the decadence period, The state of Anatolia during this empire until coming of the Seljukid Turks in the 11th century
