The aim of the course:
It is aimed to inform graduate students about the metabolic events that occur during seed germination of higher plants and the researches on this subject.

Contents of the Course
Structure. Chemical composition of seeds. Factors affecting germination. Dormancy. Germination inhibition and stimulation. Metabolism of germinating seeds. Effect of germination inhibitors and stimulators on metabolism and their possible regulatory role. Ecology of germination.
