FOUNDATION & HISTORY  
Management and Organization Department has been established as Business Management Program in the period 2006-2007 under the body of the Department of Economical and Administrative Programs which started to accept students in the education and training period 2003-2004. At the beginning of the education and training period 2009-2010, Chairmanship of Management and Organization Department was formed and it was transferred to the body of the Business Management Program Management and Organization Department.
QUALIFICATION AWARDED  
Students graduating from this department are entitled to gain the title Business Management Staff.

ADMISSION & REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS  
1 - High school diploma from the school. 2 - University licence placement exam (LYS) to enough points. 3 - Vocational School for the field (accounting, etc..) Is a preference to graduates.
OBJECTIVE of THE PROGRAMME  
This program gives to the students management functions in a wide range, before they start working programs contributes important addition for exerting their information and abilities. Program 2 year training period in the 4 semesters comprising a training structure has. 1. Class curriculum in the general culture courses, as well as basic professional (field) courses are also included. 2. Class curriculum in specialization intended profession (field) courses weight carries. Program Business Managament Profession in the for management practices density contain, while accounting and tax practices, production, marketing and law-related competencies gained are. Classes in most application-oriented arrangements have been made. 1 of the program Classes end 20-day vocational training, 2 Class at the end of the 20-day vocational training to be a total of 40 days professional training period takes place. Thus, the theory-practice opportunity can be ensured.
RECOGNATION of PRIOR LEARNING  
The "Directive on Recognition of Prior Learning", Senate Decision No. 340 issued on July 28, 2023, has been accepted and entered into force regarding the students registered in all programs of Karadeniz Technical University to determine the principles to be followed for the recognition, crediting, and adaptation of the achievements acquired by the students at non-university institutions.

In this Directive,

- recognition of knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired with special interest through an exemption exam to be substituted as program courses,
- recognition of workplace and internship experiences through portfolio evaluation to be substituted as program courses,
- and the crediting of certificates received from accredited institutions regarding students' special interests are covered.

Announcements of courses included in the scope of recognition of prior learning, applications, and evaluation will be made on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Recognition of prior learning will offer numerous benefits to our students and employers. For our students, increasing professional development and mobility in the labour market, preventing repetition of education and waste of time, providing early graduation, reducing the cost of learning, encouraging learning, and increasing the student's motivation and self-confidence can be counted among the benefits of recognition of prior learning. From the employers' perspectives, it will contribute to satisfying skill or competence deficiencies in the workplace, reducing the time employees spend outside the workplace for training purposes, and thus using resources more efficiently.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS and REGULATIONS  
A student is required to have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades
EXAMINATION, ASSESSMENT and GRADING REGULATIONS  
1 midterm, 1 Final Exam interior work is performed. Examinations written, oral, practical, assignments, projects, research, seminars, presentations, etc.. could look like. How to make the examination of the beginning of each semester students will be notified. Passing grade, midterm 50%, with 50% of the final examination.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS  
In the two-year department, students who successfully complete all lesson and a 40-days internship, had a cumulative gross point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, during four semesters are entitled to graduation.
OCCUPATIONAL PROFILES of GRADUATES  
Students successfully graduating from the department can be employed as business management and accountant intermediate staff in public and private enterprises.
ACCESS to FURTHER STUDIES  
Students graduating from the department are offered the opportunity for vertical transfer to undergraduate programs in their fields with the Vertical Transfer Examination applied by the Student Selection and Placement Center and according to the quota to be allocated. Graduates of Associate Degree Programs can apply to open education undergraduate programs as well as formal education programs for vertical transfer. There is no quota limitation here, and the candidates who wish to make vertical transfer to open education undergraduate programs do not need to enter Vertical Transfer Examination. Such candidates are entitled to make direct registration to the open education undergraduate programs in their own fields.

DEPARTMENTAL FACILITIES : 
It has a staff composed of 3 (three) lecturer. There are classes with projectors and computer laboratories for theoretical and practical applications in the department. There is a library allocated for the associated degree program and there are study places where wireless internet is available for the purpose of enabling students to make use of the internet.
